Hello!

I’m Kali Picard

I’m a local artist and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist. I have worked with a wide range of individuals with various disabilities ranging from the ages of 2 to 102 years old. As an artist, I am known for my floral murals, have been a previous participant in the Big Easel, paints live at weddings, and creates custom commission pieces. Over the years, I have sought to merge my love of helping others with my passion for art.
The inspiration for the creation of Borderless Color came from an observation. Meaningful art did not appear to be very accessible to the neurodivergent community. The sign to move forward with this idea came from a visit to the First Art Museum in Nashville, Tennessee, where an exposition of art created by individuals with disabilities showed the uncapped potential of the neurodivergent community. After seeing what Nashville was providing for their neurodivergent community, I decided to create a similar experience for neurodivergent Acadiana residents. The rest is history or so they say, and Borderless Color was created to provide a safe place for students to explore the arts through PROCESS and PLAY, while increasing overall self-esteem and confidence.
